Kemain panjang tajuk.

Back to 2011 again. I was looking for the reviews on what mommies have experienced when they were admitted to the hospital for giving birth. Ya of course lah I saw many reviews on private hospital like Gleneagles, Ampang Puteri, SDMC and bla bla. I cannot afford that. And the reviews on gov hospital most of it not sounds good. A lot of complain, the nurses are rude, the food are bad, the facilities are poor and the list goes on.

Well, I don't have many choices. I had to choose either gov hospital or gov hospital. :) You know, welcoming the new member costs you thousands already. Her cot, bedding set, diapers, toiletries, bath tub, baby gear, blanket, napkin, breastpump, storage bottle, sterilizer, warmer, stroller, car seat and lots more. Day 1 shopping already spent almost RM2k. And that's not all, that's only 40% and that's on discount and that's not branded. See?

So, we decided to give birth at Hospital Ampang. Well, I'm going to do this like this;
  1. Registration - at 5am, it's only took us less than 15 minutes to register. It's easy. And they give you wheel chair and send you straight to the labour room. 4 star.
  2. First check at labour room - they asked me to change. Young female doctor and a nurse checked my opening. The doctor was being gentle on me. Polite. It still hurt though. But not that much that you want to scream like mad. I was just 'uh uh uh'. So, 4 star for the doctor and the nurse, and the facilities.
  3. Waiting ward - 5 and a half hour in waiting ward. 6 patients/bed per ward. Not that bad as the room is big enough to occupy 6 bed. Not crowded at all. The toilet is just OK. Clean but not comfy. The nurses are OK, some are a bit harsh, some are very nice and gentle. The doctors are most of it a junior. They have senior doctors but most of it only for serious cases and to supervise the juniors. But they visited every patient, asking the junior on their diagnosis and corrected them (in a high voice) if the diagnosis was wrong. You will feel a bit distracted when you've been crowded with 6-7 doctors around you. So, 3 star for the ward, 2 star for the toilet, 3 star for the doctor and nurses.
  4. Labour room - I was in the labour room from 1pm to 4.45pm to 6pm. Through out the process (of waiting the opening to be 10cm, pushing time) the nurses and doctors were being nice to me. Despite me being - doctor, tolong lah saya dah tahan sangat dah ni - nurse tolong lah check lagi saya rasa dah 10cm dah ni (checked, and it still 5cm) - uh ah uh ah - gunting je doctor, saya tak kesah sakit sangat ni - kaki ke depan ke belakang pusing sana pusing sini - mintak ceaser (gile apa aku nih) - the doctors and nurses still treat me well. So, 4.5 star to them. They served me a slice of cake and a warm water just after the me giving birth. I was handed my baby to feed within 30 minutes or so. So, 5 star for this.
  5. Post deliver ward - I was sent to 4 bedded ward. The ward was nice, spacious and very clean. They have 2 toilets in one ward (4 bedded ward). That was nice! They clean and comfort too. Spacious too. The locker was huge enough to store my belonging. The nurses are nice. And most importantly they are baby friendly too. They support breastfeeding. Taught me how to successfully breastfeed, how to pump, how to storing breastmilk, how frequent to feed and all. I'm giving them 5 star!
  6. Fees - RM 40 plus ringgit. Forget already. But I kept the receipt and i'll post it here later. 5 star!
Worthy isn't it?

Salam.

Hari ni nak cerita pasal pengalaman bersalin saya. Anak sulong. Throughout the pregnancy I didn't experienced many problems Alhamdulillah. Cramp tu biasalah. Morning sickness during the first trimester pun tak sangat. Mungkin Allah nak tolong sebab masa first trimester tu my husband was not around. Dia kat offshore masa tu. So I was all by myself.

38minggu plus macam tu saya memang dah get ready dah. Debar pun tak lah sangat. Kami balik kampung masa tu. Hari Ahad tu dah sampai rumah pun lewat malam. So badan sangat penat. We decided to take an off from work on the Monday. Dok berhorey-horey kat rumah malam tu kami tido lah awal sikit. About 3.30am in the morning, I was awaken by uneasy stomach. Memulas-mulas. So saya bangun pergi tandas. Tak de poo-poo pun.

Get back to the bed. Try to sleep. Tertido.

4.30am lebih kurang suddenly GEDEBUSHH air mengalir keluar dari rahim. I was very sure at that time it was Air Ketuban. Sebab banyak kot air tu keluar and it doesn't smell like a pee at all. Kaget, saya menjerit panggil husband padahal husband kt sebelah jer. Tak yah jerit pun dia boleh dengar. Haish. Husband pulak jenis kalau terkejut terus taktau nak buat apa. Keluar masuk keluar masuk bilik taktau apa nak buat dulu. Saya pulak dok menangis kt katil. Also don't know what to do.

Dah tenang-tenang baru lah pelan-pelan tukar baju, capai beg apa semua dalam jam 5.00am macam tu kami gerak ke hospital. Memang kami plan nak bersalin di Hospital Ampang. For so many reasons. Antaranya;

  1. Keselesaan. Saya pernah melawat cousin bersalin kat hospital ampang jugak, bilik dia sangat selesa. Walaupun satu bilik 4 orang (maksimum untuk wad bersalin di sini), suasana dia sangat convenient. Bilik air kemas dan selesa. Wad yang bertenang saja. Tak kecah. Takde orang lalu lalang. They got single room and double room also. Unfortunately you cannot book. You can just walk-in mana yang kosong je dia bagi. Tak kesah lah sebab bilik berempat pun memang selesa. Ermm no TV yer. Alah, bukan nak tengok TV sangat pun. Hospital ampang ni masih baru, so peralatan masih cantik dan memuaskan.
  2. Kewangan. Yer, bagi yang biasa-biasa macam kami ni, every cent count. Why do we have to pay for RM2k++ for the same pain? I just compare Hospital Ampang dengan Pantai Ampang Hospital. Bilik Pantai Ampang berdua bagi yang biasa, let say. Kecik jer bilik dia. Bilik air pun lebih kurang jer keselesaan dengan hospital ampang. Only they got TV. Locker hospital ampang lebih besar sedikit. :)
  3. Location. Hospital Ampang depan apartment kami jer. Senang.
But again, it's all up to you where do you like to deliver your baby. Gov Hospital yang lain saya tak boleh nak cerita lah sebab tak penah pegi. Kalau open ward memang tak selesa lah sikit. Up to you though.

Sampai jer hospital tung tang tung tang..pegi ke bahagian labour. Nurse suruh tukar baju.

Baring untuk dia check jalan. Oh my. Tengok jer doctor muda tu ambil barang-barang, hati terus tak keruan. Adoyaii. teeett. Tapi Alhamdulillah doc muda tu buat procedure tu dengan lembut jer. Rasa ngilu dan sakit sikit jer. Ngeri jugak lah. 2 cm. Sebab air dah turun jadi kena warded.

6.00am - 2cm
12.00pm - dah mula rasa contraction. asked nurse to check. This time sangat sakit hingga saya sebut Allah, Allah dengan kuat dan cakap nurse tu yang saya sakit. Nurse tu agak kasar lah compare dengan doc muda tu. Nightmare. 5cm.
1.00pm - masuk labour room. dengan husband. contraction makin kerap dan makin lama. husband pun pucat lesi. I keep asking doctor to check my opening. Sebab rasa nak teran. Tapi tak jugak 10cm. 3jam struggle dlm labour room.
4.00pm - 10cm and ready to push. Bilik tu sejuk sangat sampai mengigil. Bila start jer push, peluh meleleh. Berderai-derai. Allaahu.
4.45pm - Lahirlah seorang baby girl seberat 3.05kg. Lepas berjaya keluarkan baby, all that I did was lay back and take a deep breath. Forget for a second (nope, a few seconds) about the baby.

My husband kissed me and said thank you. He was shaking. Bila nurse dah tunjuk baby tu girl ke boy baru lah saya kembali ke alam nyata. Nurse bedung baby dan serah kat husband to iqamah. That was the best moment ever. EVER!

Cahaya Hati

We named her Syafiyah Nur Azra. Ikut sunnah beri nama hari ke-7. Bersyukur sangat. Kesayangan ummi yang buchuk.

I'm back!
wow...after two years..
Dari anak dara, berkahwin, mengandung, bersalin dan mengandung lagi! Baru sekarang nak update blog lagi. Wow.
But I'm back. Pulang ke pangkal jalan. Chehhh..
And yes..now.. I'm a married woman, experienced a married life, having a kid (becoming two) and a busy housewife.
How time flies.
Yes, how a married woman's life lingered around kids, family and chores.
TAPI!!
Saya pun hidup bermasyarakat. Jadi mungkin kadang-kadang nak bercerita tentang dunia luar, isu semasa dan lain-lainnya.
Jangan warm-warm chicken shit sudah. iPad make blogging easy! Cross fingers. Sebab tak pernah guna iPad lagi untuk post entri. Next entri maybe. Sebab ini adalah comeback, cukuplah kot. Till next time!
